This past Tuesday, I was invited to attend the Urban Decay Launch Event and Jouer Dinner Party. Urban Decay just announced their newest NAKED SMOKY palette, and hosted a party in Los Angeles for the release. If you haven’t read my review yet, click here to see more and enter the giveaway for a chance to get the palette before the release date!
I wanted to wear something comfortable to both events, so I decided to pair these coral pants and a floral crop top (both from Zara!) to create an effortless look. I love that the 70s chic fashion trend is slowly making its way back, and was inspired to recreate an outfit from that era. These trousers definitely caught my eye–it’s high-waisted and super long, so it gives the illusion that I’m tall; the flowy fabric also gives me freedom to move around without being constricted.
The subtle orange hues in the flowers of the top matched with my pants, which added a nice glow to my skin tone as well. This outfit was definitely fun and flirty, but I was still missing something, so I added some sunglasses from Lulu’s to spice up the outfit; the blue-tinted lens definitely makes it a bold statement. And if you didn’t notice, I got a haircut! At first I didn’t like the length of the cut but I’ve grown to like it. Hair is definitely an accessory; with my short bob, it adds a bit of spunk and character to my overall look.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to attend the Jouer Dinner later in the evening because it took me a bit longer to get ready (struggles of being a girl)! I did, however, record my makeup for that day, which will be up this Friday, June 5th as my first Five-Minute Friday video. Make sure you check back on the blog to get the first look of Glowy Summer Makeup without any interruptions and ads!
