It’s November guys! Now that Halloween’s over, I’m looking forward to Thanksgiving and spending quality time with my friends and family. Because it’s the holiday season, I’ve been looking for gifts to get for my loved ones. If you guys want a gift guide for Christmas, let me know in the comment section and I can start writing it up! While I was looking, I found some fall favorites for myself and thought I’d share with you what I’ve been loving lately.
Every girl wants to smell nice, but it’s hard to find that perfect scent unless you try all the perfumes in the world. Trust me, I’m still looking for my signature scent and it’s hard! But with Scentbird, you don’t have to worry about spending so much on one perfume bottle. It’s a monthly subscription that’s only $14.95/month, and you get a 30-day supply of a perfume of your choice. Plus you get a convenient canister that you take with you on-the-go.
Of course, we’re all aiming towards the darker colors for the upcoming fall months. The popular colors are deep wine and plums, and these two are the one I’m gravitating towards often: Lorac Lipstick in Siren and NYX Intense Butter Gloss in Black Cherry Tart. The red lipstick is matte, which you can wear to keep your lips subtle. But something that’s more glossy, the NYX one is definitely eye-catching.
Guys, I may have found my FAVORITE palette for the fall. It’s by Tarte cosmetics, and this small palette has 16 different shades. The eyeshadow colors are all matte and perfect for the autumn season, since there’s browns and plums. It’s definitely appropriate for the office and at night. I’ve been grabbing this palette every time I do my makeup, and it’s never disappointed me. This is a great beginner’s palette too, so if you’re looking for affordable and versatile eyeshadow palette, this is the one.
Clothing and Accessories
It’s finally feeling like fall in Los Angeles, and I’m all about layering and accessorizing. I found these cute crop tops at Free People the other day, and I love them so much I bought three of them in different colors. These are great for wearing underneath your sweater or pairing them with a cute plaid skirt. And of course, I have to talk about accessories. Hats are so fun and easy, especially when you’re having a bad hair day. I got this black fedora from J. Crew and it keeps my head warm. Also, dainty rings upgrade an outfit to chic instantly. These are from Madewell, and you can stack them on your fingers–definitely a fall favorites in my book.
Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Palette
As you guys read from my last outfit post, I went to the launch party for this palette. It was so cool to see Gwen Stefani in person, and this palette totally reflects who she is–edgy and cool. The packaging is absolutely amazing; it’s in gold chrome, and there’s a magnetic lock so it won’t open easily. Most of the eyeshadows are neutrals and browns, with the exception of three colors (Harajuku, Danger, and 1987). With just this one palette, you can create several different looks.
Face Paint by Lisa Eldridge
Did you ever wonder how makeup came about? What the history is or where it originated from? Lisa Eldridge is someone I idolize, and she recently wrote a book about makeup and its history. The imagery of this book is absolutely stunning. I was so excited when I purchased this book, and now I have something to read with my hot coffee on a night in.
Have you found anything recently that you’ve been dying over? Tell me all about it! Write your fall favorites in the comment section, and I’ll give it a try.
