If you guys follow me on Snapchat (Simply_Sona) or Instagram, you know that KB and I had recently taken a trip to Chicago. It was our first time visiting the city and we were so excited to explore! We had originally flown in for some meetings, but decided to extend our stay through the weekend!
We started our trip on Thursday and arrived to the Thompson hotel around 6pm. We ate at this amazing French/Vietnamese restaurant called Le Colonial. The following day we didn’t have much time to explore the city because we were in meetings all day.
Although the weather was quite cold, we did some walking around the city. We visited John Hancock Tower as well as Willis Tower (Sears Tower) that is known for the Sky Deck. That definitely was the high point of my trip and the views were absolutely stunning!
Of course no trip to Chicago is complete without visiting Millennium Park where the famous Bean is! KB and I had such a blast taking photos in front of the bean. I definitely recommend checking out this iconic art piece.
Later that day we stopped in the West Loop area which has a ton of amazing restaurants. We ate at a BBQ place called Green Street Smoked Meats and the food was so amazing. Best BBQ I’ve had in a while.
The following day, which was our last day in the city, we grabbed brunch at a place called Mindy’s Hot Chocolate. The hot chocolate was so delicious, it was perfect for the cold weather. Afterwards we stopped by Stans Donuts and indulged in some more sweets!
Lastly we decided to do a little shopping while in the city and stopped by Wicker Park. This is a trendy neighborhood in Chicago and has a ton of good shops! I bought some pieces from InterMix as well as Levis. I did also vlog a little while I was in the city, but stay tuned as I will be going to NYFW and wanted to combine those two vlogs!

Here are a few products I recommend for battling dry skin in the cold winter months.
