Edgy Spring Outfit

Fashion, Outfit, Style
Simply Sona spring outfit

I always love Spring because it feels like a new beginning. We clean out the old stuff out of our lives and bring in the new. It’s also so fun to be able to ditch the heavy coats and show a little skin. Living in California is a bit different because Spring feels like Summer, but this spring outfit can be modified with booties instead of sandals if  the weather is still cool where you are. I’ve also decided to show you guys that just because it’s spring you don’t have to take on the pastels colors that typically come with it. This is my “edgy” spring look.

Simply Sona polka dot shirtI channeled my love for Chanel in a great black square cut jacket with a textured black and white fluffy detail. A great statement jacket can boost even the simplest of outfits. The nice thing is that I can just take this off and drape it on my shoulders or carry it if it’s a warmer Spring day. What I love about this outfit is, it’s a more subtle Spring outfit, the white polka dot blouse is definitely very spring but to keep things more edgy I paired it with this amazing Chanel inspired jacket.Simply Sona clutch spring outfitSimply Sona spring outfits polka dot shirt with clutch bagUnderneath, I played with a muted but fun white polka dot patterned semi-sheer top to add even more texture. You can see my bra underneath, but that’s okay! It’s so on-trend to show off your pretty little lingerie under your clothes, and it’s possible to do it in a classy way too.Simply Sona polka dot spring outfit

With such a loud look on top, I kept it simple on the bottom with a well-fitting pair of blue denim skinnies. A jean that fits well always looks good, no matter what you wear them with. A pair of black tie up heels pulls this outfit together beautifully, and also allows me to wear another trendy piece. It was so nice to be able to pull out my sandals too! My brown hat adds some color to a neutral outfit, and I’ve kept it pretty simple with the rest of my accessories.

I hope you love this beginning of Spring outfit and take some inspiration when it comes to creating your new Spring wardrobe essentials! What does Spring weather tend to be like where you live? Tag me at #SimplySona with your Spring outfit ideas!

    Love the outfit, Sona!

It’s a wee bit cold for this sandals up here in Canada but I’ve definitely rocked a similar look last spring and on cold summer nights with booties, and I plan to take the look forward into this spring and summer too!

Much love from Canada and your snapchat fam!

I absolutely love this look! I’ve always had a problem with wearing a sheer top and a different colored bra underneath, but after reading this, who knows, I might start feeling comfortable about this trend! Thanks!

I love this look!!! I love the top, it’s sheer, but not too sheer and the white polka-dots are so cute!
