Happy Birthday to Urban Decay! One of my favorite makeup brands is celebrating 20 years of business this year and to celebrate they are releasing a special 20th Anniversary Edition of the Vice Palette called Vice XX Reloaded. And if you think they stopped there keep reading…They’re also launching their 2016 Summer Collection with new skin products, bronzers and highlighters so be sure to read more to get full deets!
The new Vice palette is a very beautiful collection of bright and saturated colors. If you love wearing color on your lids, this is the palette for you. I really like how they have both matte and shimmery shades to suit many tastes. There are a lot of lighter colors too which will work great for the summer. I think that there’s a good balance of bright colors and some basic neutrals so you can get a lot of use out of it.
The Naked Skin One and Done Hybrid Complexion Perfecter is the new foundation in the Urban Decay Summer 2016 collection. Splash on some of this base and not only will you get a smooth and creamy finish, but you’ll get hydration and protection. This products has SPF 20, but I would love it so much more if there was more SPF so that I didn’t have to use a separate sunscreen. You’re still going to get that gorgeous, even skin tone that Urban Decay foundations normally give, and you’ll be able to use one product for a lot of different things. The Naked foundation will be available at ULTA Beauty 3/31, Sephora 4/1, select Macy’s locations and online for $34.
I just cannot get enough of the 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil and the 24/7 Waterline Eye Pencil!! Seriously you guys; this stuff is amazing! It’s my personal favorite from the Urban Decay Summer 2016 collection. These eyeliners go on soo creamy! They are perfect for people with smaller eyes who want to make their eyes pop. Just apply the Waterline pencil on the inner rim of your eyes and watch them open right up. These beauties will be selling for $20.
For that natural glow that is soo hot right now, there’s the Afterglow 8-Hour Powder highlighter selling for $26. Just apply this on the high points of your cheeks for a natural highlight. If you’re looking for a strong highlight or trying to achieve that strobing look, I suggest using a damp brush to get all the pigment on your face. The shades that this highlighter comes in are very sweet and muted. You can also use this to brighten the inner corner of your eyes and highlight the brow bone.
The last item I want to share with you from the Urban Decay 2016 Summer collection is the Beached Bronzer priced at $28. I like how this bronzer doesn’t streak… it blends beautifully into the skin. I prefer using these to warm up the completion of my skin and achieve a sun-kissed glow as appose to contouring.
Let me know who is excited for summer and which of these products you are excited to try out in the comments below!
