Hi guys, as promised here is part two of my trip! If you read my first blog post you know that we recently spent a couple weeks in Paris. I wanted to share what we did for our second week in the city of love and lights. I got to see more of the beautiful city and worked on some exciting projects that you’ll get to see very soon.
So on the Sunday of the second week, we checked into the Plaza Athéneé and enjoyed some really spectacular views. We had the day to relax and we took advantage of it. We walked and shopped in the rain and took lots of photos. That evening we ended up watching Euro 2016 futbol so KB was thrilled!
On Monday, I woke up super early and KB and I took a nice walk. We stopped at a French Pharmacy around the corner and got some goodies. (I’ll have a blogpost on everything I purchased very soon) I also did some shopping on Avenue Montaigne which has some of the best designer stores in Paris. A really awesome tip if you ever find yourself shopping in Paris: most designer pieces are cheaper in Paris than in the US, because shipping costs are eliminated and tourists often don’t pay tax! So splurge away! To wrap up the day, we had dinner at Tre’s Honore with a friend.
On Tuesday, we had more rain so I decided to film a Get Ready With Me video (coming soon to my YouTube Channel) in preparation for a YSL event I was attending that evening. YSL had a workshop with the perfume experts responsible for the new Mon Paris perfume. They talked about the process of making the perfume which was so interesting because they went to several different countries to source their ingredients. That day, I got to take over the YSL Beauty Instagram to give an inside look at what was happening during the two events. I had an amazing time at the workshop followed by a Love Virtigo themed party, which was so much fun.
On Wednesday, hot off the excitement of the fabulous YSL party, I worked with them on a photoshoot for the Mon Paris perfume.(I can’t wait to share the photos!!) They created a cool upside-down Parisian apartment set which was a blast to shoot in. Later that night, we had dinner at the popular L’Avenue, some short steps away from where we were staying. The food was delish, and the French fries are to die for, so be sure to order a round for your table if you go there to eat.On Thursday, we went to the Louvre and had a lovely time exploring the famous landmark. We chilled at some different cafes and indulged in lots of espresso and wine. That night we watched more futbol. It was a pretty calm day to relax after a couple of days of working. On Friday we took a day trip to Versailles, and I highly, highly recommend it. It’s a must-see if you are in Paris. It’s about a 45min drive outside of Paris. The gardens are incredibly beautiful, and the mirror room is just unreal. You can spend the whole day walking around and taking everything in.
On Saturday, we were supposed to go to Champagne, but I had to make a quick return at the Galleria Lafayette because I bought shoes that were too small! We lost a bit of time so we just stayed in Paris and explored Le Marais. We had lunch at Chex Marianne and has the most delicious falafel. If you are in the area I recommend you try it as well. The rest of the day we continued to explore and shop and stopped for some nutella dessert crepes.
Overall, our trip to Paris was amazing. There’s never a dull moment in a city with so much history and culture. You’re out and about all day, and then get to watch the gorgeous late night Parisian sunsets. Paris will always remain one of my favorite cities. If you’ve been to Paris before, let me know what your favorite places are to shop, eat, and explore. Maybe I can hit them up on my next trip!
