The sun sure is out in full force this summer! I wanted to show you one of my go to summer style looks with some of my favorite trends of the season, full of personality and a little bit of edge. This is a super simple look to pull off, with light layers that are perfect for beating the heat in style.
Denim shorts are a summer staple, and the more ripped and distressed, the better. Not only is it a subtle way to let some skin breathe, but they have a fun amount of edge to them. I also love the lightly bleached color because it’s perfect for summer. They go with anything and can be dressed up or down.
I love the cut of this grey tank because it shows off the bralette I’m wearing underneath. It’s such a great layering piece that I can wear any season. It’s just perfect for the summer.
Bralettes are huge right now, and it’s totally okay to show it off. They’re too pretty not to! I love how this black lacy bralette pops out of my tank, adding some visual interest to the basic tank. It also adds a feminine touch with a little hint of edginess. I think bralettes look great under strappy tanks – since your bra will most likely show anyways, why not choose a super cute one?
Depending on what climate you’re living in, you might need to throw on a little jacket at night like I have. I love the cool details on this simple blazer. The patches on my jacket have a modern western theme, which I love. What better way to show the world how fun and unique you are than with some playful horseshoes and lightning bolts?!
I accessorized my outfit with a super on-trend choker necklace and some other dainty accessories. Since sunnies are a summertime must, I went for a cool shape with some Raybans. I opted for a smaller purse, as you don’t need a bulky one in the summer for just your essentials – so I chose a Chanel bag, of course. Lastly, I paired all of this with some strappy wedges for a little bit of height yet they are still comfortable to walk in.
To finish off the look, I pulled my hair back to keep it off my face and neck. I divided my hair into two sections and twisted each side into cute little pigtail buns. It’s such a fun, cute look that helps keep you cool!
