If you guys have been following me on social media, you know that I’m in New York for New York Fashion Week! It’s so amazing to see so much creativity and love for fashion and beauty all in one place! I wore this look to the Vivienne Tam show and then to present the Best Blogger Award at the Bloglovin’ Awards with my friend Chloe Morello. Congrats to the winner Chriselle of The Chriselle Factor!
We shot this look in Chelsea, by the High Line near our hotel. Have you guys ever been? It’s such a cool area! It was so easy to find a place to shoot an outfit—New York City is such an amazing backdrop! We shot this outfit in between Vivienne Tam and the Bloglovin’ Awards. Since I was presenting, I wanted to look chic and effortless—this look definitely fits the bill!
I started my outfit with this white dress from Club Monaco (it’s actually on sale here!) I love the midi length and the adorable button detail down the front. It’s such a clean, minimalist look, and I really like the breeziness of a white dress! Even though the little black dress gets all the attention, I think this dress definitely proves that a little white dress is a closet staple!
I wanted to keep the rest of my outfit simple to match this dress so I kept my makeup and accessories pretty low key. I love the recent 90’s-inspired lip color trend, so I wore Nars Velvet Lip Glide in “Area”. My minimal two strap nude heels added just the perfect dose of elegance to my look, paired with one of my favorite Chanel bags. Even though I like to wear lots of dainty gold jewelry, for this look I opted for just this gorgeous velvet choker from Liv Bambina and a silver watch.
I think one of my favorite parts about this outfit is how effortlessly easy it is to wear! There are so many places I could wear it! This look is definitely perfect for a nice dinner date. If I swapped the heels for cute flat sandals, I would wear this to a casual brunch or for a day spent exploring museums and shopping! As the weather gets colder, I’ll pair this dress with a coat or jacket and some high boots. Who says you can’t wear white after Labor Day?? I plan on wearing this dress year round!
We’ll be in New York for a total of ten days, so look for another outfit post from New York Fashion Week! How do you dress up for a big event? Tell me in the comments!
