Hey guys, welcome to the November Edition of Sona Selects! I have so much fun doing this series, I love sharing my favorite products with you all! (If you missed the last two editions, you can find the September Edition here and the October Edition here) The holidays are coming up and I’m so excited, this is one of my favorite times of the year! This edition of Sona Selects features lots of gift options for some of your beauty loving friends (or even for yourself!)
1. La Mer The Powder ($95)
You guys know how much I love my Laura Mercier Translucent Finishing Powder, and that’s still my favorite, but I was pleasantly surprised with this new finishing powder from La Mer! It’s super lightweight, but manages to give you a flawless, smooth finish. La Mer The Powder now contains the brand’s Miracle Broth, so it has all the skincare benefits of their other products! It’s obviously very pricey, but it might be worth the splurge if you’re looking for a good quality setting powder.
2. MAC Extra Dimension Skin Finish ($33)
The new MAC Extra Dimension Skin Finish is one of my new favorite highlighters! It makes your face look luminous in a natural way and is super easy to build to get the shimmer you want. I usually go for just a little bit of highlighter, so I like that I can build this to my desired intensity. I really like the shade Beaming Blush for the holidays!
3. Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick ($82)
OK! I hate that I’m in love with this next product because of its price tag, but I have to say, the Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick has become my favorite. I love the convenience of a stick foundation combined with the flawless coverage it provides. You can easily build coverage, and it really makes your skin look beautiful. I also like that you can use this for contouring, if you get a darker shade. If $82 is a bit much for a stick foundation, I don’t blame you! Here are some more affordable stick foundations I love. Makeup Forever and Lancome.
4. Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation ($8)
Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation is an amazing drugstore foundation! For only $8, this foundation gives you the perfect matte finish, covering up imperfections and hiding pores. This is a great foundation for all skin types. I recently used this in a makeup tutorial and fell in love with the finish.
5. Pérsona Cosmetics Identity Palette ($32)
Obviously I couldn’t resist putting my own palette in my latest edition of Sona Selects! Seriously though, I am so excited with the Identity Palette and I love how versatile it is! You can do everything from sexy glam looks for upcoming parties, or a natural look for your daily makeup routine. You get six luminous shimmers and six buttery mattes with this palette. To sum it up the Identity palette gives you twelve high quality generous sized shadows in a compact friendly sized palette with little space wasted so it can make for a great travel companion too!
6. Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Color ($29)
I actually first tested the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Color while shooting a video for Byrdie! (You can see it in action here!) It makes eyeshadow application super easy, just a quick swipe across your lids and a little blending and you’re good to go! I love using this as a base before going it with my powder shadows. It makes my eyeshadow last longer and it also intensifies the colors.
7. Pür Royalty Eye Polish ($42)
If you’re looking for high impact, glossy lids, this is for you! The Pür Royalty 5-Piece Eye Polish Collection is a collaboration with one of my fellow beauty bloggers, Angel Merino (@mac_daddyy)! Instead of a cream or powder eyeshadow, this is a liquid eyeshadow that you apply with a silicone applicator for a super dramatic, shiny look.
8. Dior Rouge Dior 962 Poison Matte ($35)
Okay so last month, I know I listed Dior Rouge Dior in their classic matte red, but right now, I can’t get enough of it in 962 Poison Matte. It’s an amazingly dark, moody shade. It’s such an amazing statement-making lipstick and I plan to wear to all my nighttime events.
9. Makeup Forever High Precision Lip Pencil ($18)
This is one of my favorite lip pencils to use for sharp definition and contouring. The shades are easy to match to your lip color for natural looking full lips. The Makeup Forever High Precision Lip Pencil glides smoothly, making it easy to create a clean line.
10. Pür Royalty Luxury Lip Collection ($42)
This set done in collaboration with Jade Marie (@jadeywadey180) includes four liquid lipsticks. I love how this set has lots of shades, from a deep matte berry, to nude, with two shimmery glosses. The Royalty 4-Piece Luxe Lip Collection is awesome to use for the holidays, since there are so many colors to choose from!
11. Dose of Colors Matte Liquid Lipstick ($18)
I do love a good matte liquid lipstick, and right now, I’m really into the Matte Liquid Lipstick in Black Rose from Dose of Colors. My favorite is a dark brownish shade that gives the perfect 90s vibe to any makeup look!
12. Aerin Amber Musk ($115)
I don’t like to change up my perfumes often, but this Aerin Amber Musk is totally one of my go-tos for fall and winter. I love the warm, slightly musky scent that’s balanced with light coconut water and floral notes.
