Is March really almost over? I can’t believe it’s already time for Sona Selects: March 2017 Edition! In case you’re just coming to the blog, Sona Selects is my monthly roundup of my favorite makeup and beauty products! Whether it’s a new release or an old favorite that I’ve been using on repeat, these are all the best spring beauty products!
Too Faced Love Flush in Baby Love ($26)
If you’re looking for a soft spring blush, look no further than the Too Faced Love Flush blush! My favorite shade is Baby Love, which is a really pretty nude-pink color. It’s super subtle and I would totally recommend it if you were going for a more natural no-makeup makeup look! Since it’s a bit more nude toned, it also works like a bronzer. The pigment blends really well onto your skin and doesn’t look too cakey and powdery.
Nars Pop Goes the Easel Blush in Threesome ($30)
Where the Too Faced Blush is best for a light flush, if you need versatile, all around good blush, the Nars Blush in Threesome is a great option. I love the brighter pink shade, since it makes your cheeks look beautifully rosy. This blush is super silky and blendable and instantly wakes up your face!
Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Quickie Contour Stick ($28)
This Hoola Quickie Contour Stick is amazing if you’re a makeup beginner or need to do some contouring on the go! It’s super easy to use and blends beautifully on your skin. I love the creamy texture and how buildable it is—you can use this contour stick whether you’re just looking for a light bronzing or trying to do a super chiseled contour.
Nars Bronzer in Falaises ($40)
This Nars Bronzer hasn’t been released yet, but I was lucky enough to receive a sample and it’s amazing! It gives an amazing natural, sunkissed glow that would be flattering on most skin tones. The powder goes on smoothly and blends really well! This would be a great go-to bronzer for all occasions! I actually used this bronzer in a video a few weeks ago, check it out here to see this bronzer in action!
It Brushes for Ulta Airbrush Smoothing Foundation No. 102 ($22)
As you might’ve seen in my recent video, Beauty Blender, Brush or Silisponge? The Best Way to Apply Foundation, the brush is the winner for me. One of my favorite brushes is the It Brushes for Ulta Airbrush Smoothing Foundation No. 102! It’s a synthetic brush, so it’s great for liquid products, like foundation. The fluffy rounded end makes it really easy to blend your foundation, so it’s never streaky. Though the It Brushes for Ulta No. 102 is designed for foundation, it’s a good-all around brush, so I’d use it for any type of face makeup!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz ($21)
The ABH Brow Wiz is my absolute go-to eyebrow pencil. It’s a super fine, creamy pencil that makes it really easy to fill in your brows so that they look natural and defined. I also love that the pencil has a spoolie on the end to help brush your brows into place.
Jouer Long Wear Lip Creme in Creme Brulee ($18)
I used this Jouer Long Wear Lip Creme in my Fresh Spring Makeup Tutorial on Monday! The peachy pink shade is amazing for Spring and Summer. It has a really creamy texture that goes on smoothly and lasts for hours!
Lancome L’Absolu Rouge in Timide 237 ($32)
I absolutely love this super soft peachy nude from Lancome’s L’Absolu Rouge collection of lipsticks! It’s a shiny, kind of sheer lipstick that’s so pretty! This color looks amazing with a natural makeup look or with a dramatic eye. Also the packaging is amazing! You click one end and the tube opens on the other side. Not only is it super chic, but it’ll stay closed in your purse or makeup bag!
Rimmel London Lasting Finish Stay on Lip Contouring Pencil ($4)
If you read my recent post, Is it Worth It? My Take on Expensive vs. Drugstore Makeup, this is one of the amazing drugstore lip products that I was talking about! The Rimmel London Lasting Finish Stay on Lip Contouring Pencil is a great lip liner to use for just about everything! In my Flawless Foundation video a few weeks ago, I used it in the shade Natural 049 to completely fill in my lips, then went over it with lip balm to give my lips a full but natural look. And best of all, it’s only four dollars!
Naked Lipgloss in Walk of Shame ($20)
Clearly I was in a pale pink mood when I was picking makeup for this edition of Sona Selects! The Naked Lipgloss in Walk of Shame is one of the products that I always come back to. The formula has a ton of skincare (or is it lipcare?) ingredients like vitamin E and shea butter so that your lips stay plump and nourished while you’re wearing it! It’s not too sticky and has a really pretty shiny finish that’s great for your everyday look!
