I don’t know about you guys, but I absolutely love summer fashion! Whether you prefer dressing casual, colorful, or anything in between, there are so many ways you can experiment with your look in the summertime. You may have seen in my latest blogpost or on my Instagram that I’ve been traveling quite a bit this summer! So while I was vacationing, I put together six of my favorite summer outfit ideas to give you inspiration for this season. I also created a summer lookbook featuring all of the outfits in this post! These outfit ideas are great for keeping you cool and comfortable, while still looking absolutely fabulous despite the summer heat! Summer fashion is all about being effortlessly chic, and these outfits are the perfect mix of casual yet trendy inspiration for your summer wardrobe!
The first outfit I put together on our first night visiting Morocco, it’s pretty casual yet still sophisticated! You could totally wear this on a summer date night! I love pairing blazers with my summer looks because they can make any simple outfit polished. The blazer I wore is from The Kooples and I’m seriously obsessed with the floral detailing on the shoulders, it’s such a unique piece! I also decided to pair a short slingback heel from Chanel to dress up the outfit, I linked a similar affordable pair. Adding various textures makes any outfit more interesting! That’s why I added a cute fringe bag from YSL to finish off my look, which I actually got on sale. It’s super fun and definitely gives off western vibes that are so trendy right now!
This next outfit was what I wore when I visited the Majorelle Garden in Morocco, which you might’ve seen in my vlog from the trip. It’s so light and airy which was perfect for the 100 degree weather in Marrakech! Can you believe how hot it gets? I also have really been into bright reds this season, like the top I paired with this outfit, it’s the perfect color to compliment your summer tan! Again, mixing textures is a great way to spice up your style! That’s why I thought to pair the most unique bag from Cult Gaia with this outfit, it’s actually made out of Bamboo! This bag is unlike any other piece I own and is such a great summer item.
My third outfit was one of my favorite outfits while traveling this past month! I wore it in Morocco when I went up in a hot air balloon! It was one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had and the view of Marrakech was insanely beautiful. If you ever have the chance to ride in a hot air balloon, no matter where you are, you should definitely do it! I wanted to keep this outfit casual but still playful so adding a fun boater hat was the key to this look. I got mine from an Insta-shop called Bits And Pieces. It also was a little chilly up in the air, so I’m glad I wore a bomber jacket! The one I have is a silky dark green fabric with the prettiest embroidery from Aritzia, which I think really pulled this look together.
This next outfit is such a great look for a night out on the town or grabbing drinks with the girls! I’ve really been into dressier pants this summer because they are so easy to play up or down depending on how you accessorize. I also wore the most beautiful green earrings I bought shopping at the Souk in Marrakech! They are so unique and were the perfect addition to this look. I love how they complimented my bright red YSL shoes, and because this look is primarily black, it was the perfect pop of color this outfit needed!
My fifth outfit is definitely the most casual out of all of the looks, but it’s still super chic. The satin slip style dress has been a huge trend this past year and I can’t stop wearing it! Paired with sneakers, it makes for the perfect outfit for exploring on a hot summer day, which is exactly why I wore it in Spain! Mine is from the brand Sisters The Label on Instagram, but I’ve linked some more affordable options below! I also decided to wear the hat from my first outfit again because it’s amazing for keeping the sun off your face and staying cool. You shouldn’t sweat your style away in the summer, so wearing breezy dresses is the way to go!
The last outfit I wore I actually saved specifically for Paris! You might’ve seen in my Summer 17 Must Have Tops blogpost, that I’m totally obsessed with flowy off-the-shoulder tops. They are seriously so great for the summer and won’t be off-trend anytime soon. Tops like these are my favorite for my vacation style because they are breathable, but still so stylish! I paired the top with white shorts from Guess that are so comfy, and of course my favorite Gucci loafers! I’ve had them for about a year now and I can’t stop wearing them!
I hope you guys enjoyed this post and got some inspiration for your summer style this year! Your fashion shouldn’t have to be compromised in the summer, and being a California girl myself I’ve had my fair share of experience with the heat. Which outfit was your favorite?
