Denim on denim is finally making a comeback and it’s giving me some major 90’s vibes! This trend is such a huge throwback, anyone remember JT and Britney at the AMA’s in 2001? This past weekend KB and I went restaurant hopping in Venice Beach. I spent the day visiting the cutest shops and indulging in some delicious food. So I wanted to show you guys a summer weekend outfit idea that is perfect for shopping around town or grabbing a bite to eat. I also got a new black Fendi Peekaboo from Trendlee that I’ve been dying to show you! I own a red one too and it’s seriously my favorite bag. I collaborated with Trendlee to show you this casual weekend look plus 40 of my favorite designer bags over on their site.
This look perfectly describes my weekend style, casual and stylish. You guys know that I’ve been loving the off-the-shoulder trend this year! It’s perfect for hot summer days because it’s breathable and you won’t feel like you’re baking in the heat. This striped top is one of my absolute favorite shirts that I own! It’s from Nordstrom and it’s such an easy piece to dress up or down. The weather in California right now is at an all time high as we near the end of the summer, so staying cool while looking cute is very important to me.
I decided to pair this top with my high waisted Levi’s, a denim jacket, and my favorite Chanel Slingback heels. Adding a denim jacket is an easy way to transition your summer outfits to fall in this in-between stage where the weather isn’t consistent and can sometimes get chilly at night. You also can’t forget your accessories! Accessorizing is important to completing an outfit and can make any casual style look a lot dressier. I decided to keep it pretty simple with my jewelry and wore dainty pieces that were both silver and gold. Some of you may be cringing, but I love mixing metal finishes and the saying that “gold and silver don’t mix” is so overrated.
Now on to the most exciting part of my outfit, my new Fendi Peekaboo! (OMG I’m obsessed) By now you know my love for designer bags and I firmly believe that the right bag can make or break an outfit. However, purchasing a designer bag, especially your first one can get pricey. That’s why I’m giving you the inside scoop on how you can save on gorgeous designer pieces. I got this bag from Trendlee and if you are not familiar with this site, they offer pre owned designer bags for a discounted price. They have hundreds of bags you can chose from, but I curated 40 of favorites for you guys to check out! (PS! A lot of them are on my wishlist) I thought it might be a little less overwhelming for you guys if I put this collection together. If you have a similar style to mine, you’ll definitely love my picks off of Trendlee. Designer bags are totally worth adding to your collection. Especially if you find a timeless piece, it’s something that will last you for years and you won’t regret buying it.
I hope you guys liked this easy denim on denim outfit of the day from this past weekend I was in Venice. It’s a look I’m for sure going to be wearing again, and I hope it gave you some inspiration for your personal style. Don’t forget to check out my favorite designer bags on Trendlee.com and if you use the code SIMPLYSO at checkout you’ll get 5% off your purchase!
