This past weekend I was invited to my first Grammy Awards in New York City with YSL Beauty! If you follow me on Instagram, then you probably saw that the struggle was REAL looking for a last minute outfit to wear to the Grammy’s! I’m talking it was the day before and I still didn’t have anything to wear. After hours of shopping (sorry KB) I found the the perfect pantsuit-inspired look. Not only was it glam enough to wear to the event, but the pieces I picked are total investment pieces that I’ll wear forever. So many of you guys wanted the details on my look, so I decided to post my whole look and how you can style it for less!
Walking into the Rag & Bone store I instantly became obsessed with this blazer. I tried it on and my whole outfit vision just came together. I have always been a fan of the sexy, pantsuit trend on the red carpet and was so excited to try it. I decided to take a risk a la Kim Kardashian and skip wearing a top underneath. It added the perfect amount of edge and femininity to my look. This blazer is going to be such a great investment piece in my closet because I can wear it so many ways! I linked some of my favorite affordable blazers that would totally work in re-creating this sexy, pantsuit look.
Lucky for me, I also found the most amazing pair of leather pants at Rag & Bone. I felt them hanging on the rack and knew I had to have them. I paired them with my new blazer and was so happy with how my pantsuit look finally came together. Leather pants are a must-have for winter, so I’m glad I finally invested in a great pair! I can’t wait to dress them up for date night or dress them down with some black booties and a white tee.
For shoes, I kept it classic with my favorite pair of pointed-toe suede pumps from Gianvito Rossi. I packed these pumps because I knew they would go with pretty much any last minute outfit I put together. Also for all of you that didn’t know, I’m 5’2, so pairing these pumps with a monochrome pantsuit made me look so much taller!
To make my simple all black look stand out, I added some elegant and minimal, gold jewelry. This lariat necklace worked perfectly with my blazer’s plunging neckline and complimented my small cross earrings from Adornmode. I wore a bunch of my favorite gold rings too, which I’ll link below for you guys.
First, the hair. I had my hair done with Kerastase, by the talented @leauxmane, who created this edgy hairstyle to really complete my Grammy’s look. I went for very soft 50s-inspired waves and added a modern touch with two small side braids. For my makeup, I created a shimmery, smokey eye with my Identity Palette using “Goal Digger” on the inner corner of my eyelid, ‘Fearless’ along my lashline to create a subtle wing, and a little “Goddess” on my upper eyelid. And of course I had to have a bold red lip! I used this YSL lipstick and topped it off with this YSL matte liquid lipstick to make sure the color lasted all night.
I had such a blast attending the Grammy’s with YSL Beauty, and even though I missed out on the red carpet, this was definitely one for the books! I was so happy how this full look came together and cannot wait to hear what you guys think!
