In case you didn’t know yet, combat boots are a thing again. From Kaia Gerber to Kourtney Kardashian, all the coolest celebs have been spotted rocking this edgy and super practical boot trend. I’ve been wearing my Dr. Martens combat boots all season long. So, I decided to give you guys an outfit breakdown of how I’ve been styling these boots for a casual day in LA.
Kaia Gerber// Kourtney Kardashian// Bella Hadid
Let me just tell you guys why you need to add these $140 boots to your cart ASAP. For one, they’re the most comfortable boots like, ever. I can wear them for hours without getting blisters and they’ve even passed my NYC walking test. They’re such a great city boot to buy because they’re durable and winter-friendly. Another reason I love these boots is because they’re super versatile. You can wear them with a girly wrap dress or you can edge up an everyday office look like I did. And lastly, you NEED these boots because they won’t break the bank! Celeb-favorite combat boots can cost thousands, but you can totally rock this look with some good old docs. Plus, they come in so many different styles. I’m thinking about getting white next!
I’ve been wearing these boots with my favorite pair of Levi’s. There’s something about pairing denim and leather boots that instantly makes me feel cooler. On top, I’m celebrating being human with my Everlane 100% Human tee. You can still buy this tee, which donates $5 to the American Civil Liberties Union for every piece sold in the collection! The camel blazer I’m wearing is from Maje, but I’ve linked some of my favorite affordable look-alikes below!
Of course, I had to continue with the whole military trend with my Lack of Color hat. It’s my go-to whenever I’m trying to hide a bad hair day (shh!) Because I kept things pretty edgy, I decided to contrast my look with some feminine details. I’m totally into the oversized clutch trend, because you can fit everything you need inside when you’re on-the-go. Mine is Louis Vuitton, but I’ve picked some other cute ones to help you get the same look. For jewelry, I layered some of my favorite minimal, gold necklaces from Cinco.
I went with a feminine makeup look to really complete my girly meets edgy outfit. I started with the Dior Forever Undercover Foundation, which is a great lightweight, water-based foundation for all day coverage. On my eyes I’m wearing my Identity Palette (‘Audacious’ and “Goddes’). The lashes I’m wearing are super affordable AND available on Amazon. On my lips, I’m wearing the new Soap & Glory double ended lip crayon in ‘Cherry Up’. I did a whole product review on these new $12 dollar lip crayons which you can watch here. This bold red shade was by far my fave!
The whole dressed down, blazer look has kind of become my everyday uniform, but switching up my usual sneakers for these Dr. Marten’s boots definitely upped the cool-factor.
What do you guys think of the combat boot trend? Can’t wait to hear your thoughts!
