Who doesn’t love a nice relaxing facial? You all know I do! Giving yourself a facial and taking a few minutes to just sit and be can be the best way to finish a long week of work. When I have time to make my own mask, I use very simple and organic ingredients that are safe for my skin. For more about that, check out my past blog post called Homemade Masks! If you are in a hurry though, it’s great to have some trusted masks and peels on our hands, so that we can just grab one and relax. Here are some that I’ve tried and what I think of them!
Fresh Umbrian Clay Mask
When my face is feeling dull and boring, I use the Umbrian Clay mask to bring it back to life! This clay mask can be used in variety of ways, from spot treating blemishes to a full face mask. ts claim is that over time, using the Umbrian Clay Mask will reduce the appearance of pores and create a more even skin tone. I found that after using this mask, my face felt fresh and I could feel the tightening sensation. The ingredients found in this product, such as sandalwood, chamomile, and of course Umbrian clay, is said to have lots of nourishing and restorative minerals. This is a great recommendation for people with oily skin!
Origins Clear Improvement
I have been using this Origins Clear Improvement mask for over two years and I absolutely swear by this stuff. The charcoal is the key ingredient in absorbing the dirt and debris that naturally seeps into your skin; the mask is also formulated with White China Clay, which is said to draw out impurities. So the two active ingredients together will make your face feel so fresh and clean! I find this mask leaves my skin feeling nice and crisp but is not as abrasive as the Fresh mask. It does take a little bit longer to dry, but that’s okay–gives me more time to relax! You definitely won’t regret the time spent.
Fresh Honey Mask
I’ve been traveling more recently, and this Fresh Honey Mask does a wonderful job at keeping my skin supple especially with the climate changes. Honey is a powerful substance for your skin–it helps those with acne-prone skin because of its antibacterial nature to clean out your pores, and the antioxidants keep your skin healthy and glowing. So if you’re looking to rehydrate your skin, this is a great option for you. Made with Echinacea as well, this mask has added antioxidant benefits that can battle environmental stress along with the honey.
Murad Intensive-C Peel
I use this Intensive-C Peel when my skin desperately needs a pick-me-up; it brightens while hydrates, and what’s great about this one is that it works on all skin types. Just to warn you, there’s a little bit of a tingling sensation at first but you’ll get use to it! Not only is this mask equipped with repairing qualities such as Glycolic Acid, which fixes damaged skin cells, but also with preventative qualities like Vitamin C and Indian Fig which protects against free radicals. To see result, you will have to use this peel consistently–about two times a week.
Now how badly are you wanting a facial after hearing about these amazing products!? I highly, highly recommend taking the few minutes to give yourself a mask – you deserve it!
