Now that summer is in full swing, there’s tons of family parties and festivities that I’ll be attending soon! I wanted to create a fun shimmery look while looking elegant and classy. I personally love shimmer in the summer, because it adds a beautiful glow to the eyes and makes the look sexy. I think this is the perfect look for a girls’ night out or a fancy date.
Now, if you’re not into shimmer, try this look using an all matte palette, while incorporating similar colors used in this tutorial. For this look, I used warm-colors that were extremely shimmery and pigmented. The palette that I used is the Lorac Pro Metal; it’s compact-sized which is great for traveling. If you don’t have the palette, not to worry! As long as you have similar colors, any shimmery palette will do! I recommend Urban Decay’s Naked 2 palette, which will also work great to achieve a similar look.
Step 1
Apply a shimmery highlight color on the inner corners of your eyes, as well as underneath your eyebrows. I used the shade Quartz, which is a beautiful off-white color.
Step 2
Next, apply Gilded or a shimmery light gold color to the entire lid space. Make sure you pack it on, you want the color to pop!
Step 3
Grab a blending brush and get a copper color (which is Amber in the palette) to apply on the outer third of the eyelid. Concentrate most of the color there, and lightly blend it in the crease area. Whatever is left on the brush, apply on the inner bottom lash line.
Step 4
I wanted to add some more dimension, so I decided to blend in Rose Gold over the copper color. I also added it on the bottom lash line, but on the outer end.
Step 5
With a brown liner, line the bottom rim. Last but not least, adding lashes! Put on your favorite lashes and mascara to finish the final look. The lashes I’m wearing here are by House of Lashes in Pixie Luxe.
For the lips, I used two different types of products: NYX Macaron Lippie in Orange Blossom and NYX Butter Gloss in Madeleine. Apply it in that order, and you’ll get the nice, peachy color.
And there you go! This was so much fun to do, and hopefully you guys have fun too. Make sure to share your look with me (and your friends). I’d love to see how this tutorial looks on you guys!

Thanks for this! What would be the top eyeshadow colors to pack in your travel bag for beach looks?
It would have to be golds and browns because that’s what looks the best on me. It’s always easy to pack one palette that has a lot of options like the Naked palettes or the Lorac Pro etc…
Love it!! Thanks! I noticed you used this palette in one of your other tutorials. I should probably get it!
If you’re looking for a super shimmery palette, it’s a great one.
Super pretty! I always buy these colours because I think they’re beautiful with brown/hazel eyes. I love the way you did the lower lash line and I need to get those lashes asap! X
Beautiful, elegant, glowing tutorial. I’m going to recreate it this weekend!
