You all know how much I love testing out new products!! It makes me so happy to swatch a product for the first time and be able to share my thoughts with you all. Today I thought I would try something new on my YouTube channel and create a summery pink Makeup Tutorial using mostly new products. That way, you get a makeup tutorial and a first impressions all in one video. I personally love these types of videos so I hope you enjoy it too. Here’s a list of all of the new beauty products that I used and how they work.
1. Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer (New To Me)
Laura Mercier makes some of my absolute favorite makeup products. You guys know how much I love her setting powder. Did you know she was one of the first to create face primers? I just learned that the other day and I thought it was so cool! No wonder I love this illuminating primer. This one is $36.00
2. YSL Touche Éclat Le Teint Radiance Awakening Foundation w SPF 22 (Not New)
This foundation is luxurious at $58, but when it makes you appear well-rested with lots of coverage AND has some SPF in it, it’s easy to justify. It feels light on the skin and has a flawless finish. I applied this product with an It Cosmetics Foundation brush. I also mixed this foundation with the Makeup Forever Water Foundation for added coverage since I was going out later that day.
3. Makeup Forever Water Blend Face and Body Foundation (New Launch)
This is a super versatile water based face and body foundation. It’s totally worth the money at $43 if you like a light coverage, and it comes in 19 beautiful shades to match your skin tone. This product is set to launch any day now at Sephora.
4. Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer (New Launch)
This concealer has such a nice creamy texture that gives a lot of coverage. It’s vegan-friendly, comes in six shades, and is just $24.
5. NARS Light Reflected Pressed Setting Powder (New Launch)
We all love a glow that looks natural, and this weightless powder works with your foundation to give you that. It keeps your makeup locked in, and gives you a nice matte finish.
6. Clinique Up-Lighting Illuminating Powder (New Launch)
This sheer illuminating powder is perfect for summer. It comes in 3 shades. Depending on what color you get, it can be worn alone, as a bronzer or highlighter, or as an all over finishing powder. I have the shade 03 Bronze Glow which is a darker bronzer with red undertones so I used this as an over all face bronzer.
7. Too Faced Totally Cute Eye Shadow Collection (New Launch)
Who doesn’t love limited edition? This palette comes in adorable packaging that you can customize with sticks and contains vibrant, saturated colors. You get both matte and shimmer shadows, and some step-by-step inspiration for looks to create with all of the shades.
8. It Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Voluminizing Mascara (New To Me)
The expert formula in this mascara gives you long, luscious lashes after just one coat. You can build on to it depending on how dramatic you want your lashes. Just spend $24 and you’ll be the envy of all your girlfriends with dynamic lashes.
9. It Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Taupe Eyebrow Pencil (New To Me)
Finally, a brow pencil that’s fairly inexpensive ($24) and does it all! Cover any greys, build as much color as you want, and have pigment that stays in place with this easy to apply pencil. Anyone with any hair color can use it too, which is a huge bonus!
10. Japonesque Velvet Touch Blush (New To Me)
Even though this blush comes in a powder form, it applies so silky and soft and builds beautifully depending on how strong of a look you want. You can choose from pinky blushes to beige bronzers for $22 each.
11. Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Highlighter (New Launch)
This powder highlighter creates a subtly kissed glow that blends well with all skin tones. For just $28 you’ll glow all day, as this highlighter lasts for 12 hours.
12. Pop Beauty Permanent Pout Lip Paint in Pink Honey (New To Me)
This lovely lip paint will give you long-lasting pigmented color with a velvety soft matte finish. I love the shade Pink Honey. In total, there are 6 shades in this collection. They are paraben-free and also super affordable at $14 a tube. For the tutorial I decided to go with Nars cult classic lipgloss, Turkish Delight.
13. Bare Minerals Gen Nude Lip Liner (New Launch)
Bare Minerals just launched their Gen Nude Lip Collection which included 60 new shades in 4 formulas of nude lipsticks! As well as 4 Under Over Lip Liner Colors. Each pencil is $14. I used the shade On Point in my tutorial. This wooden pencil liner is super creamy and will go with lots of different lip shades.
I hope you enjoyed learning about some of these newly launched and new-to-me beauty products. It was so much fun to experiment with them. Be sure to check out my tutorial with all of these new products below and let me know if you try out any of them!
