I’ve gotten a lot of questions recently about my jewelry collection, so I thought I’d share my favorite jewelry essentials with you! When it comes to jewelry, it’s always best to go with quality over quantity. Jewelry is very personal and it can have a special significance, so it’s important to take time to pick items that you really love. I like to shop for jewelry while traveling, but I pick up pieces at Madewell and Baublebar as well! As time has gone on, I’ve found myself reaching for the same pieces almost everyday.
It can be difficult to know where to start when choosing your everyday jewelry, but there are no rules to mixing and matching!! The most important part of developing your everyday jewelry collection is finding something that represents your style and means something to you! These six pieces are jewelry basics that you can customize and combine to create your own unique jewelry collection.
1. Effortless Adornment
Stud earrings are the best place to start your jewelry collection. Not only are stud earrings comfortable to wear, they add just a little bit of sparkle to draw attention to your face. You can choose simple stud earrings, or something a little more glamorous, like these.
2. Arm Candy
You’ll almost always find me wearing my favorite gold bracelets! It’s a set of four simple cuffs. (Mine are from David Smallcombe, you can find something similar here) You can stick to one bracelet or stack a few on your wrist. I love the simplicity of a plain gold or silver band, but you can find some gorgeous embellished ones too!
3. Make a Statement
Statement earrings are great to wear with both casual and dressy outfits. I like to wear mine with jeans and a tee to add a dose of glamor to my look! Statement earrings can be minimalist or have lots of sparkle, like these tasseled earrings or my favorite ear crawler!
4. Delicate and Dainty
I don’t wear necklaces everyday, but I love how they accentuate my collarbones. A delicate chain necklace with a small charm or stone detail looks amazing by itself or layered! Don’t be afraid to mix silver and gold pieces.
5. Stack ‘Em Up
If you guys have been following this blog for a while, you know that I love to pile on lots of delicate rings! There are so many ways to wear stackable rings, from a simple set of bands to a sparkly stack (or a combination of the two!) I love rings because you can really customize how you wear them to fit your own style!
6. Get Trendy
Chokers, ear jackets, fun tasseled pieces, this is where you can experiment with all the latest trendy jewelry! You definitely don’t need to spend a lot of money on these pieces. Chokers are the biggest trend right now and have been on my radar recently so I’ve picked up a few affordable ones (like this one that I wore in this post!)
