Hey guys, it’s the second installment of Sona Selects! I’ve rounded up my favorite beauty products this month and, let me tell you, there were so many amazing new releases! (and some old standbys that I just can’t get enough of!) In addition to makeup, there were some new nail polishes and hair products that are so good! P.S. I made a video with my fall beauty favorites and disappointments, check it out to see more of my must-haves!
1. La Mer Soft Fluid Long Wear Foundation
If you want absolutely flawless skin with the added benefit of advanced skincare with SPF and antioxidants, La Mer Soft Fluid Long Wear Foundation is for you! It’s admittedly quite pricey, but it’s definitely a great choice if you want skincare benefits in your foundation. Like the rest of La Mer products, the quality and feel of the product is entirely luxurious.
2. Estée Lauder Double Wear Nude Cushion Stick Radiant Makeup
Estée Lauder’s new Double Wear Nude Cushion Stick is weightless and long lasting, which makes it a great option for your everyday foundation. Even though I love the formula, the applicator is a little too small for full face application, but its compact size makes it easy to take on the go.
3. MAC Quiktrik Stick
The new Quiktrik stick from MAC is a great option for convenient, one stop contouring, highlighting, and bronzing! Each stick is double-ended with two complementing shades so that you can blend and combine in any way you want! The formula is creamy and sheer, but buildable. The Quiktrik Stick also comes in blush shades!
4. PÜR Strobe Highlight Palette
Okay, okay, I know this one isn’t quite new, but I’ve used it so much lately! The PÜR Strobe Highlight Palette has the most gorgeous highlight shades and a formula that transforms into a powder finish once applied. It gives beautiful dimension to your face.
5. Nars x Sarah Moon Quai des Brumes
Part of the Nars Holiday 2016 collaboration with photographer Sarah Moon, the Quai des Brumes eye shadow set is ideal for creating a beautiful smoky eye. It has an iridescent lavender (it looks slightly grayish) and a gold-flecked charcoal shade. Both are highly pigmented and look so amazing layered and blended together!
6. Lilly Lashes Cannes
If you guys watch my YouTube tutorials, I’m sure you’re familiar with these amazing Cannes lashes from Lilly Lashes. These false lashes are super voluminous with long, full clusters of fibers that add instant drama to your look.
7. Jouer Slim Crème Eyeliner
Jouer’s new Slim Crème Eyeliner is one of my new favorites! It glides on easily and is amazing for creating a smoky eye (give it a try with the Nars x Sarah Moon Quai des Brumes eye shadows!) This eyeliner’s cream formula allows it to smudge easily, so you can create a quick smoky eye with your fingers.
8. Dior Rouge Dior Lipstick 999 Matte
This is THE classic red lipstick, but in a matte formula! Dior Rouge Dior Lipstick in 999 matte is my go-to red—it lasts all day long and has a gorgeous shade that’s both flattering and high impact. Plus the packaging is so pretty!
10. Benefit They’re Real Big Sexy Lip Kit
These Benefit lipsticks are a two in one! The pointed tip functions as a lip liner while the bottom of the teardrop shape is lipstick. This formulation makes your lips look fuller, and it goes on so smoothly! The kit comes with four lipsticks, so you have lots of options to choose from!
11. Ouai Dry Shampoo
Is it just me or is second day hair so much better?? Just a spritz of this amazing Ouai Dry Shampoo and my second (or third) day hair looks absolutely amazing! Unlike lots of other dry shampoos, this one doesn’t have any white residue left over.
12. Essie Party on a Platform
Part of Essie’s winter collection inspired by 1960s London, this is the perfect deep red garnet shade for fall and the holidays! Essie’s Party on a Platform will give you that chic, polished touch for fall.
13. MAC Nail Lacquer in Monte Carlo
This Nail Lacquer is part of MAC’s new collection inspired by the famed photographer Helmut Newton. Like Newton’s photography, this shade is undeniably sexy and classically chic and timeless. Unlike the Essie nail polish, this red is vibrant and playful.
I hope you enjoyed this October Edition of Sona Selects! Is there any product that you’ve been obsessing over this fall?
