The Best Face Masks For Dry Skin

Beauty, Skincare
The Best Face Masks For Dry Skin Sona Gasparian

I don’t know about you, but I love pampering myself! I also love face masks and do them at least two to three times per week. They’re so relaxing and really make a huge difference in your skin’s texture and overall apperance. I have dry skin, and in the Fall when the weather is cool it gets even drier. In today’s blogpost, I’m showing you my favorite face masks for dry skin. These are the holy grail masks that I alternate in my skincare regimen to keep my skin hydrated, radiant, and acne-free.

1. Hydrating

The Hygge Hydraclay Detox Mask from Ole Henriksen is one of my all-time favorite face masks! I recently mentioned it in my nighttime skincare routine. This mask is so hydrating and doesn’t dry out my skin at all. It helps reduce redness and is so soothing on the skin. I also love that it doesn’t have an uncomfortable tight feeling once it’s dried. I can easily throw on this mask while watching Netflix and not have to worry about it irritating my skin or getting so tight that I can’t move my face. A mask from the drugstore that is so similar is the Yes To Miracle Oil Mud Mask. Just like the one from Ole Henriksen, it soothes redness, hydrates, and is comfortable on the skin, plus it’s affordable! Keeping my dry skin hydrated is so important to me because nobody likes a flakey face. I just had to mention one more ultra-hydrating mask from Skin Inc. The Skin Inc. Pure Deepsea Hydrating Mask is so luxurious and works while you’re sleeping. This is an overnight treatment that helps seal in nutrients from your other skincare products for the best results possible. It is an expensive product, but it’s totally worth the investment!

2. Brightening

I recently mentioned my favorite brightening mask on the blog and can’t stop talking about it. It’s honestly the best brightening treatment I’ve ever used! The Ole Henriksen Power Bright 3-Step Professional Brightening System is packed with a high concentration of Vitamin C, which is so illuminating on the skin. This three step system comes with a polishing sugar mask, Vitamin C concentrate, and facial cleansing balm. Not only does this brighten your skin, but Vitamin C is one of the best ingredients for smoothing fine lines and wrinkles. Since it’s such an intense treatment, I typically only reach for this mask about one to two times per month maximum. Every time I use this product my skin looks so radiant and youthful, no other at-home brightening treatment compares!

3. Acne Fighting

Los Angeles is notorious for having horrible pollution, I feel like my pores become clogged so easily! I love using the Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal mask to detoxify the skin. It’s infused with China clay which draws out impurities and actually absorbs environmental toxins. After using this mask my skin feels so soft and is noticeably brighter. This mask is also great if you’re having trouble with breakouts because it contains charcoal. According to Livestrong.com, charcoal is a lot less harsh on dry skin than other acne fighting ingredients and won’t over-dry your skin. It also helps prevent breakouts long before they become an actual problem. Another acne fighting mask from the drugstore that also contains charcoal is the L’Oreal Paris Detox and Brighten Pure-Clay Mask. If you’re acne prone, and have dry skin like I do, these two masks are amazing and will help keep your skin blemish free!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post on my favorite face masks for dry skin. I seriously couldn’t live without them in my skincare routine! Leave a comment below sharing your all time favorite face mask!

I have oily dehydrated acne prone skin and Indian Healing Clay mask has been helping me a lot and recently I’ve been loving the L’Oréal clay mask. I really want to try the Origins one too. Hope to get it soon. #snapchatfam

      That mask is amazing!

  • ReplyEsmeeOctober 16, 2017 at 11:56 am

Loving your post! I recently repurchased the Origins charcoal mask myself, it’s such a great product. I am definitely trying one of the hydrating masks as well. The Old Henriksen one sounds really nice, burbs don’t know if it is available in the Netherlands.. Hope so! Love, Esmee

My favorite mask is the Origins Drink Up Intensive overnight mask.

  • ReplyRadhika HisariaOctober 16, 2017 at 12:00 pm

Picked the origins black charcoal mask from one of your beauty videos and have been using it ever since. I also am liking the idea of adding a hydrating mask in my skincare routine :)

So happy you liked it! It’s such a great mask.

  • ReplyayeshehOctober 16, 2017 at 12:30 pm

I love the egg cream mask I got at Sephora that smooths and tightens my face it always feels amazing after!!!

    • ReplySimply SonaOctober 16, 2017 at 2:49 pm

I might just have to give that one a try.

  • ReplySmritiOctober 16, 2017 at 12:37 pm

I ve always loved the origins charcoal face mask and continue to use that for my oily acne prone skin. Thanks for targeting different skin concerns. I remember watching a video on how you cleared your skin of the acne. I m 30 and have suddenly broken out into this terrible cystic acne. Doctors have prescribed me antibiotics and a whole regime that is further scarring my skin and I ve been so low lately. I find solace that I am not alone. Thank you!! ?

I’m always happy to help babe! xo

  • ReplyKristineOctober 16, 2017 at 12:42 pm

I have to try the Ole Henkenson, I’ve tried their green line (for evening out skin tone I think) and loved it, their face wash (green one) is one of my favs it removes all my makeup. The Origins charcoal mask is not my fav for some reason, I feel like it does clean my skin but doesn’t do much else to it, maybe I just don’t apply it correctly. Btw love the pic of u with the robe so cute! !xo

    • ReplySimply SonaOctober 16, 2017 at 2:45 pm

I love that face wash from Ole Henriksen. Thanks love!

  • ReplySarahOctober 16, 2017 at 12:45 pm

I’m actually not a mask person, I always get scared that my face will break out even if I do a patch test because my skin is just so sensitive ? I have heard good things about the loreal mask though so I’m contemplating on giving it a try ??‍♀️ X

    • ReplySimply SonaOctober 16, 2017 at 2:44 pm

Definitely try out a gentle mask if you’re worried about sensitivity. I have mildly sensitive skin and have had no issues with these masks.

  • ReplyEveOctober 16, 2017 at 12:48 pm

Hi there. The Revision Skincare Black Mask is a great mask for detoxifying and smoothing out skin. Also Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask is awesome for texture skin. Love the Ole Henriksen mask. Thanks for sharing Sona, I have been spending more money on skincare then makeup these days. Worth it down the road.

It’s seriously the best mask I’ve ever used. The results are incredible!

  • ReplyAstrid LeydenOctober 16, 2017 at 5:29 pm

Awesome post! I loved masks!! But when I tried the Yes to Mircalr oil charcoal mask, it broke me out so bad that I had to reboot my skin care routine, which took me about a month! Crazy. Maybe I left it on a little too long? Who knows. I have combination oil and dry skin but ever since moving to Las Vegas from NJ, it’s been crazy dry and no one likes flakey skin. I’d like to try the Hygee clay mask and I need some brightening as well. Working night shift has got my skin looking so dull lately. Can’t wait to try the OH vit c. Thanks for sharing this post. I enjoyed your day and night time videos on YT. Hope you’re feeling better!

Currently, the charcoal mask for acne is popular in cosmetics exclusively for removing acne and obviously reducing its apparition. Activated charcoal attracts toxins. Therefore, it helps to detoxify the skin. A peel-off mask that helps in better cleansing of the face. Common findings prove that pores become less visible and start to disappear.
