How To De-Stress During The Holidays with Sona Gasparian

I’m so excited for the holidays, it’s seriously my favorite time of year! Thanksgiving and Christmas are coming up so quick, can you believe it? Even with all of the fun festivities this time of year can be stressful, especially when it comes to shopping for gifts or organizing parties. There are many things you can do to stay stress free during the holidays, taking time for yourself is so important! In today’s blogpost I’m sharing my tips to help you de-stress this holiday season! These are things that I’ve found help me relax when the busiest time of year approaches. For the ones suffering from addiction issues need to both de-stress and de-addiction from places like rehab in austin that can help.

 

1. Have A Pamper Night

One thing that helps me de-stress during the holidays is indulging myself in a pamper night. Taking care of yourself should be a priority, especially when you’re feeling overwhelmed during the holidays. (Or any time of the year!) When I pamper myself I love doing a face mask, throwing on a cute pair of comfy PJs, and kicking back on the couch with my hubby! It’s seriously the best, and totally helps me unwind and take a break from the hustle and bustle surrounding the holidays.

Sometimes I just need to treat myself to something sweet. Moderation is key, but once in awhile I love stopping by Bottega Louie in Downtown LA and grabbing some macarons. Thank goodness for online shopping! It saves so much time and allows me to avoid an overcrowded mall and Los Angeles traffic. (Which is always a win!) Whether I’m shopping for Christmas gifts or treating myself to something new, I always prefer shopping online. Retail therapy is definitely one way I like to relax, and treating yourself to something new, whether that’s a pair of earrings or lingerie, when you’re stressed it feels so satisfying! I recently ordered a few sets of the cutest bras and underwear from ThirdLove, and it was so much easier than taking a trip to the mall.

Online is totally my favorite way to shop for myself or to purchase gifts for friends and family.

This time of year there are commercials, ads, and people talking about how fast the holidays are approaching nonstop.  A drug rehab in Santa Clarita  suggests that these constant reminders always popping up on phone screen can totally cause people to overthink and stress themselves out! Sometimes the only way to get my mind off of all the stress in my life is to put down my phone and step away from social media.

This allows me to enjoy my free time without staring at a screen all the time.  You’d be amazed at what a little rest and relaxation without constantly being on your phone can do for the mind and body! It totally helps me relax during the holidays and get up in the morning on time without hitting the snooze button!

    Hello girl!I enjoy reading a book while drinking hot chocolate…But then my three kids come running in the house…no more silence!But their hugs and kisses is the best way to feel perfect!!!

    This is exactly what I need! I have so many assignments and exams due next month and I also have my job too so it’s getting on top of me :( i did manage to do my online shopping last week and it helped declutter my brain ?? But i’m so looking forward to a pamper day where I can just be lazy and eat junk all day ? thanks for the post Sona xo

    Nothing is better than relaxing in bed with a comfy, satin pair of pjs! Light up a scented candle or oil diffuser, pick a book and just… decompress! The pjs are essential! It might sound crazy but it’s worth splurging on at least one pair of good ones that feel just right.

    I try to have a pamper day once a week just to unwind! Love how you mentioned skipping the mall because it’s so crazy this time of year since everyone’s Christmas shopping. Thank god for online shopping. I can’t wait for tomorrow’s video, I saw the look on your snap story!!

    I pretty much do the same get in some comfy pajamas, do a little spa night and relax in bed or the couch and order gifts, etc. I think a lot of people over-stress themselves during the holiday season. Great post Sona, I really love those pajamas.

    That bra set is so cute Sona! My favorite thing to do is have a glass of wine and just sit with Christmas music playing and my Christmas tree up with lights and I just enjoy it. It’s nice to just appreciate the beauty of it u know? What a cute post ❤️love it!

    I love me some R&R at least once a week. The other night was just that, sheet mask, hot bath with bath salts and essential oils, candles, wine, and music. Unplugging from social media is def not easy but by being in a bath, scared to drop my phone in the water, is a great way to unplug even for a little while ?. Btw, those pjs look sooo comfy!     Sona thanks for the recommendations. I always try to have a pamper day once in a week which helps a lot. Mall is not for me at all ? It gives me terrible headache every single time so I skip it if I have the opportunity. I can also suggest to do some sport activities that you like, because it helps you to get out the toxins in your body and makes you fill accomplished(it helps me at least). And also, in order not to wait to weekends or that one day in a week to calm and relax, just try to have a peaceful morning routines frequently where you don’t have to rush and in fact have some “you time” and enjoy starting your day with nice breakfast, complete skincare or whatever makes you happy.

    Hey sona!!! All your ideas are great and I completely agree with you, specially take a break from social media. Social media portraits a perfect planned life and sometimes it stresses me because it makes me this that I am not perfect and I haven’t figured out my perfect life yet. It gives a lot of pressure. Definitely I would opt for online shopping if I feel low, specially windows online shopping, it gives peace to my mind. Which girl doesn’t love shopping ? ? Its the best destress option ??❤️❤️❤️

    Nice post. Skipping the mall is the best idea indeed.
    I prepare key ingredients (fried onions, fresh ginger garlic) of mean in advance, you can say one week before thanks giving and the parties so it help me out in saving my time and preparing dish in a shorter time. Pakistani dishes takes time in preparation and making no of dishes at the same time is a bit complicated thing to do. For me this is the best de-stress option cause when i knew food is ready then my on top of the world. ;)

    I love all the festivities! Christmas is my favourite tho!
    I love spending my days in a cozy pyjamas (Harry Potter themed, I am a nerd! ?), drinking apple and cinnamon tea while watching some classic Christmas movies. I truly love this season ♥️ Thank you for your lovely suggestions Sona! ?❄️

    Loved reading this blog. For me to de-stress at the moment is either hitting the gym classes, reading and turning my phone off completely for the whole day.

    This is so amazing! This time of year is so busy and stressful for me every year, I actually got sock because I am so exausted and overwhelmed ?
    I try to relax by staying in for the evening, making myself a matcha tea or hot cocoa, doing 30 min of yoga, and then having a hot shower using some rich showering cream with nutty scent (my current favorite is Yves Rocher Macadamian nuts shower cream), followed by Body Shop body butter, and a sheat face mask.
    I also started putting my phone away when I watch TV or read a book, it helpes so much!
    Also, I love waking up and falling asleep eith Louise Hay affirmations, they make such a big impact on my overall feeling and wellbeing ?
    And of course, a nice set of underwear, cozy pajamas, soft slippers and a nice smelling bath robe never hurt anybody! ?
