A Colorful New Year’s Eve Smokey Eye

makeup
Green eyeshadow

Can you believe we’re already almost finished with 2018?? This year flew by! I’m so excited to celebrate the New Year and start setting new goals and resolutions for 2019. But first, it’s time to start thinking about NYE glam! It’s the one day of the year you can get away with all the sparkles and glitter! I’ve been loving color lately, so I teamed up with Mary Kay to bring you a bold, colorful eye makeup look perfect for all your NYE festivities.

gren eyeshadow lookFor this look, I played with the new Mary Kay Chromafusion Collection, which has 33 long lasting matte and shimmer eyeshadow shades, 10 blushes and 2 highlighter and contour shades. Mary Kay’s Matrix Technology makes this collection great for a night out. Each product is super pigmented and long lasting, so you can count on your makeup staying put way past the ball drop!

Mary Kay Pro PaletteThere are so many beautiful, creamy eyeshadow shades in the collection and with the Mary Kay Pro Palette, you can choose your colors and customize your own palette however you want. I’ve been loving color lately so I decided to go for a fun, party-ready green smokey eye. Get the step by step below!

Mary Kay Eyeshadow

GET THE LOOK

Step 1: Apply ‘Moonstone’ all over the lid

Step 2: Blend ‘Smoky Quartz” onto crease

Step 3: Apply ‘Emerald Noir’ all over the lid and blend onto crease

Step 4: Smoke out lower lash line with ‘Emerald Noir’

Step 5: Use ‘Smoky Quartz’ as an inner corner highlight and top with mascara

Mary Kay Chromafusion Eyeshadow

Of course, no New Year’s look is complete without a touch of shimmer on the high points of the cheeks and a little bit of blush. I used the Chromafusion Highlighter in ‘Glazed’ for a natural glow and the Chromafusion Blush in ‘Rogue Rose.’

Mary Kay Highlighter

For the lips, I decided to go with a softer nude to keep the attention on my eyes! I always like a comfortable matte so I don’t have worry about dry lips or too many touch ups! If you’re looking for a good one from Mary Kay, I like the Gel Semi-Matte Lipstick in ‘Bashful You.’

FINISH YOUR NYE LOOK

I hope this festive makeup look inspires you to play with some color this New Year’s Eve! If you have a favorite product from Mary Kay, please share in the comments below!

Happy New Year!

    Hi Sona,
I don’t know why but I’m in a green mood for the moment and I recently bought the pencil from Charlotte Tilbury in Chameleon Smoky Emerald and the hardwired eyeshadow Goa from Nars to put on top…
Thank you for helping me using that color the right way even if I know I’m so old comparing to you :-)
Hugs from Belgium and happy end of 2018 … see you in 2019

So gorgeous!!! I love that green! I can use the Identity palette for this look! (and maybe a shade or two from the Urban Decay born to run).

Great look! not only to celebrate the New Year but other seasons as well. I really love the way you blended such an eyeshadows mixed smoky color with green. I think I have to try your steps. However, I have a problem with my sensitive skin that is difficult to choose cosmetics friendly. I just use foundation to smooth my facial skin from here https://www.womenangle.com/best-foundation-for-sensitive-skin/. It works well. But I have no idea about other makeups that suit to my skin. Could you please give me suggestion? Is your smoky eyeshadow suitable for sensitive skin? Thank you in advance for your kindness.
