It’s no secret that Korean beauty aka K-beauty has been a major trend in the beauty world. From watermelon face masks to my game-changing pimple patches, you can say I’m a pretty big fan. Recently, I’ve been noticing another up and coming beauty trend. It’s called Australian beauty or A-beauty. Focused on natural and clean ingredients, A-beauty is all about healthy, glowing skin. Keep on reading to see why I’m loving the Aussie beauty movement, plus some of my favorite products!
CLEAN INGREDIENTS
Because Australia has amazing natural resources, many A-beauty brands source their ingredients from Australia’s own backyard. These brands are gaining a lot of attention because of their commitment to clean, pure and organic ingredients. I love using natural and clean skincare products because I know they’re made with the best ingredients for my skin. One brand I love, Aesop, is a Melbourne-based brand that’s all about skin-loving ingredients (KB and I love their hand soap!) I’ve been seeing so many new Aussie beauty brands on the ‘gram and I can’t to try some more (this pink clay mask from Sand & Sky is at the top of my list)!
NATURAL BEAUTY FIRST
Ever notice how effortlessly gorgeous and sun kissed Australians are? That’s because they’re all about natural beauty. Much like the French, their beauty routines are minimal and simple. When it comes to makeup, less is definitely more. One Aussie brand I’ve been using for years is BECCA. Her brand is all about getting that natural, bronzed and glow-y skin. Throw on a lightweight foundation like Skin Love Weightless Blur, some glow-y bronzer and a tinted lip balm and you’re ready to go!
WELNESS FOCUSED
What you put on your body is just as important as what you put in your body. Inner beauty is a big trend in the US, but actually some of the most popular ingestible beauty brands come from Australia. Kora Organics (model Miranda Kerr’s brand), Beauty Chef, and Welleco all are all Australian brands that focus on supplementing your beauty and wellness routine with superfoods, antioxidants, probiotics and tons of other nutrient-dense ingredients. I’ve linked some of my favorite smoothie add-ins below!

I want to try the Khloé and Malik’a’s face palette I also love BECCA’S packaging. I haven’t tried any Other brand. You have me intrigued for sure. Now, I must check into them more ..thanks for bringing these companies/products to light for me
Love Becca! Love that more and more companies are turning to natural, non-toxic ingredients in their products.
I would add edible beauty to this list. It is a skincare brand with natural ingredients. Their exotic goddess serum is the bee’s knees
Hi Sona! I’m in Australia and I watch all your videos I think you’re amazing! I am the Counter Manager for a Skin Care brand called Ultraceuticals, it’s Australian made and manufactured, it’s an amazing product, we’ve recently had a new product just come out called the Ultra Smoothing Pore Refiner, it’s a real game changer! If your interested let me know and I’ll send you a product to try X
Haven’t put much though on Australian beauty brands but Becca is on my to try list, so I’ll get there soon!
Angela at Blush & Pearls
Sona, just wanted to applaud you for your beautiful lippies! I finally splurged on the bundle and wore Holy Grail today, and everyone at work complimented me. OG is beautiful, and actually my favorite might be Flamingo. All 3 are super flattering and that says a lot… I have a hard time finding lip colors that work for my fair/pinky/neutral skin tone. Anyway out of drawers and drawers of lipsticks, glosses, and liquid lips…yours are my absolute favorites!!! And Holy Grail looks fabulous after 10 hours and three meals with no touch ups. This is the first red I’ve ever felt good about wearing. Ever! Thank you!
I like the valuable information you supply for your articles. I will bookmark your blog and check again here frequently. I’m quite certain I’ll be informed a lot of new stuff right right here!
Good luck for the following!
Wow it’s so informative. <3
I had no idea Becca was an Aussie brand, I am sorta embarrassed I didn’t know that lol.
I love that products like this are becoming more and more available. I hope this trend of clean beauty becomes a standard across the board (it makes sense we are putting these products on our skin!).
Wow I really want to try these products, the bronzer is calling my name as much as the clay mask. I feel like amazing skin = amazing vibes for the day :)
